Ability outlet has formed numerous partnerships with local charities and organisations. Working with The Kidz Come 1st Charity we have recently supplied a brand new hoist.
We are also working in conjunction with Bexley Accessible Transport Scheme helping to make sure people can enjoy the freedom they deserve. In partnership with BATS we have recently supplied new scooters to the Bexley Broadway Shopping Centre's Mobility Scheme. 0208 301 5237 Tue, Thur & Fri 10am-3pm.
We will also be piloting a new shop mobility scheme every Tuesday at the Arc cafe & Bookstore in Erith; you can pop in for advice on mobility issues and perhaps a cheeky coffee!
Our first annual golf tournament was held at Gillingham Golf Club in aid of Kidzcome1st a local charity supporting children with disabilities. The sun shined, the children had a great time and we raised over £2000.
Kidz Come 1st is a Rochester based charity which was formed to help families with essential equipment and anything else that disabled children may require to make there lives more comfortable. Their aim in the long run is to not only continue providing this but to also give respite care.
The charity also provides grants for many children who need operations abroad. Kidz Come 1st is hoping to acquire several chalets in coastal spots around the country to enable families and children to have a much needed break. They also aim to supply special schools and hospices with educational equipment and toys. If you feel that you can help in any way, either with donating
toys, equipment or even financially please do not hesitate to contact them.
